Leaving the cocoon of my air-conditioned office for a mid-afternoon break seemed like a good idea, but as I walked out of the plaza a wave of summer heat assaulted my body. I stood outside, thinking about whether or not I should go for a walk and decided it was a bad idea. I turned around and walked back into the office lobby. I was outside for two or three minutes at the most and beads of sweat were already dripping off my forehead.
