Sometimes I feel the heavy burden of a dirty kitchen floor left unswept, a broken promise to myself to stop eating sugar, a hastily thrown together dinner no one enjoys, or an unfinished novel stuck in first draft purgatory.
Sometimes, I’m so weighed down by layers of “maybe later”s and “I just can’t do it”s that I feel like I’ll never be able to change my ways and that daily routines are just that – routine.
I know I’m not the only one who is afraid of forever being stuck in old patterns of behaviour that aren’t really reflective of who I am.
