The thing about India is that it’s the real deal. The photos you see of India, well that’s pretty much it. Woman do wear saris. You can find men working in fields with oxen while wearing dhoties. It’s colorful. The people here are deeply, honestly without guile religious. 90% of the country has an arranged marriage. There are over a billion people here. If you live on the planet Earth you have better than a 1 in 6 chance of being Indian. And there is this river here, called the Ganges and it’s a holy river.
