It’s all about me!

When I first heard a girlfriend utter these words, all I could think of was, “How incredibly selfish of her”. But in hindsight, I realize she had a point.

There are times when we should do something for ourselves. We all need some alone time….some “me” time. We need to recharge without outside influence from anyone.

So I visited a state park by myself this past Saturday. I spent 6 hours hiking and biking the trails, and had a wonderful picnic lunch overlooking a spring. The weather was perfect…and I ran into only 3 other hikers and 1 biker the entire time.

I found a youth camp with several cabins and a swimming pool. The camp is closed for the season so there wasn’t another soul in site!... More...
