The Moremi Game Reserve is the perfect choice for a luxury Botswana safari. It is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta and is well known for its beautiful scenery and diversity of wildlife and birdlife that flock to the water channels. The Moremi Game Reserve covers 20% of the Deltas surface area and was established in 1963 to protect the regions wildlife from hunting which was becoming a popular sport in Africa. The Reserve is named after the Batawana chief Moremi III and is the first in Africa to have been voluntarily set aside by the local community for the preservation of wildlife.
