It happens.

I woke up very early  a couple of weeks ago.  It was a beautiful morning, shortly before sunrise. There were no guests, so I could have the whole morning to myself to write to my heart’s content. I took my laptop outside and opened it up, staying off line, sipping my coffee.  I glanced out into my lush garden, the birds competing for my attention with their glorious songs.  I waited for the spark. A title, a theme, a subject. Anything.

It didn’t come.  I fidgeted a little and stretched my back.  Nothing.  I closed my eyes and did a quick meditation.  Nada.  Niente.
